The listing is now complete. Our home is now listed on For Sale by Owner's website, at Craigslist, on the Facebook Marketplace, and an Ad campaign has been established on Facebook as well. The presense on FSBO also gets exposure on Yahoo Real Estate as well as on Google.
Yard sign and outdoor pamphlets are on the way. It's time to get this house sold to a great buyer!

Time to Get Our Home Sold
My name is David Hovey, and I live with my wife Jenna and our little daughter Claire. We are trying to sell our beautiful home in Liberty, Missouri. There are conventional ways to sell a home, which involve giving part of your home's value to a realtor to do something you could do yourself. Well, we're not conventional.....
We will be selling our home ourselves by electronic means, most of which are free. We will list our home on For Sale by Owner's website, we will have flyers out front, and we will attempt to use social networking resources like this blog and Facebook. Generally, having a realtor who talks you through the process seems like the best way in terms of quality, professionalism, and personal contact to get a home sold. I disagree.
Many real estate websites have photograph and home information quality that are average at best on their websites and handouts. Often there are not details about the rooms and the home other than a few poor images, a generic description, and a listing of the rooms and the property tax amount. By using this blog, I can set up home details on a room-by-room basis (room size, photographs, contents, etc.) on separate pages. I can upload much higher resolution photographs than most realtors use. I will provide you with utility costs in this area so the research is already done for you. I can also tell you what you're getting yourself into as a resident of the home, so if you have a question I can answer it directly.
So here goes. There are more details to come on this site and I will be setting up the pages for each room in our home. I hope you are all satisfied. If I don't give you all you would like to know, contact me and let me know what you'd like to see.
